Oh, oh me, me!! And for a very long time too! I got a wonderful little surprise when I opened my inbox last night. An email from Park English with "Your visa number has been issued" as the subject.
Wait a minute, take a breath trish...the little 12 digit number you've been for is just a click away! I click the button, and what happens???? I lose my damn internet connection and can't get it back for about 20 minutes!!!!!!! Complete and utter torture I tell you! I finally get connected again, and there it is, my visa confirmation number! The number I've been waiting almost 5 weeks for is FINALLY in my possession!
OMG! I have my confirmation number!!! That's it, I'm going to Korea...wait a second...I'm going to Korea!?!? I'M GOING TO @!#* KOREA!!!!!!! I can't believe it. Now all I have to do is bring a bunch of paperwork to New York and have a 10 minute interview at the Korean Consulate. Then, in about 3 or 4 weeks I will be on a plane headed for a whole new world totally different from everything I know.
Am I ready for this???
You bet your ass I'm ready for this!!!!!!!!!!!

Well that's good news, you'll be leaving soon. Are you nervous about the interview at the Consulate?
ReplyDeleteI'm not too nervous about it. Most people say it only lasts about 10 minutes, and they ask questions like, "why do you want to come to korea."

My consulate interview was literally 6 minutes, and that was with some audio malfunctions on the webcam! No big deal at all!
