A "not much to update" Update

Yeah, so not much has been going here, hence no updates in a month. With my credit card and alien card stolen, I had to live on 120,000 won for about 3 weeks. This is not a fun task. I basically went to work all day and stayed home the rest of the time...totally lame. I finally got my cards back so at least now I have some money to spend. I just bought a new camera, so ya'll will be seeing more pics soon :)

As for getting my money back and stuff, the bank is still trying to figure it all out. I finally got a call from them earlier this week. Apparently, they thought I may have been in kahoots with the guy who used my card because he had my address and other information. This was before they knew my alien card was also stolen. So then I'm told that this idiot who spent my money bought a television and then had it delivered to his house. This meant the bank now had his full name, address, phone number, and the name of the school he works at. So yeah, it wasn't the air force guy i thought it was, it was another English teacher! So now the bank is trying to get a hold of Michael Wayne who lives in Pochon and works at Simbong Elementary School. What they plan on asking him, I have no clue. "Excuse me, but did you steal this woman's purse and use her credit card to make a purchase?" "Why yes. Yes I did." Give me a fucking break! The Korean teachers at LCI seem to think that the bank wants to try to solve the situation before getting the police involved. I had said before that if I get my money back, I will let it be. Screw that, this guy needs to be punished for this. You cannot just steal $750 from someone and get away with it! This is America for crying out loud!!! Oh wait, no it's not. Forgot where I was for a minute...damn it! This is Korea...where the cops just ride around in their cars all day and turn the sirens on for fun!

So for now, I wait. I wait for the bank to call me and tell me what they know, and I go on from there. At least now I can get into my bank account and spend some money!!!!

I hope all is well at home. Just so ya know, as of this coming Sunday I will have been in Korea for 4 months! It's hard to believe that my time here is a third of the way done. It's going by way too quickly. And my birthday is coming up. My first birthday away from home. Makes me a little sad, but I'll get over it! :)
