Mount Jirisan

Hello everyone!! Haven't updated in awhile, so here ya go.
Had my first experience with a Korean doctor last week. I was supposed to have a wonderful fun filled weekend of Vagina Monologues and birthday celebrations for Buddha...instead, I stayed home feeling like hell entered my body. Woke up Saturday morning feeling horrible, but I was determined to leave my humble abode. I forced myself to shower and began my walk to the subway station to meet Emily, Jordan, and Andrew. Well, Trish got 1/2 way there when she was informed that just the subway trip alone was almost as long as Gilligan's tour was supposed to be...um yeah, not so much. I turned around feeling like I could throw up on the street any minute. I'm not talking about the drunk Korean puke one sees while walking the streets of Jukjeon (or any city in Korea for that matter) on the weekend either. So yeah, I spent the weekend in bed utterly miserable. I finally went to the doctor on Monday where I was told I had tonsillitis. They gave me 3 days worth of pills and sent me on my way after paying only $20! Twenty bucks for a doctor visit AND meds...we are so getting hosed in the states!
Then we had a 5 day weekend...yay!!!! I went on an Adventure Korea trip to Mount Jirisan and had a pretty good time. Unfortunately, everyone in Korea was on the road that weekend, so we got to the mountain 2 hours after we were supposed to. By that time, it was down pouring. Here's the view from where I walked to. I didn't walk for...I'd be damned if I was gonna walk a mountain in the pouring rain!

Here I am soaking wet, but smiling!

The next day we went to the Hadong Tea Festival. It was still a little cloudy in the morning, but beautiful none the same.

Met this tea guy who reminds me of my dad...what do you think??? LOL

Some positive effect of tea...read it. it's a good laugh!

And some tea festivities...

Tuesday was a beautiful day!!! I went to Seoul with Celeste and about 40 other people for a picnic on the Han River.

Then we went to a Mexican restaurant to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with some margartias...yup I had Mexican food in Korea.

So, that's what's new with me! Hope everyone is doing good at home. Leave me some love!!!
Love you all!

  2. HI, So the tea leave picking reminds me of the Lipton tea commercial, with the guy that looks for white tea leaves. LOL, so funny.
